Celeste Leeuwenburg is a French-Argentine artist. Self-taught, she trained alongside Argentine artists and filmmakers before returning to Paris. The direction of the movement of bodies is at the heart of her work. She seeks to tell stories, emotions and intimacy. Sunlight and colour are also present in her photographs. She is beginning to use video with her series "From what she told me, and how I feel" which will be exhibited this year as part of the Louis Roederer Prize at the Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles 2022.
Celeste Leeuwenburg est une artiste franco-argentine. Autodidacte, elle se forme aux côtés d’artistes et cinéastes argentins avant de revenir s’installer à Paris. La direction du mouvement des corps se trouve au cœur de son travail. Elle cherche à raconter des histoires, des émotions, de l’intime. La lumière solaire et la couleur sont également présentes dans ses photographies. Elle commence à utiliser la vidéo avec sa série « From what she told me, and how I feel» qui a été exposée en 2022 dans le cadre du Prix Louis Roederer aux Rencontres de la Photographie de Arles.
